Finance for People is an authorized Representative Payee for individuals entitled to Social Security Retirement & Disability (SSA or SSDI) and/or Supplemental Security (SSI) benefits. When a beneficiary is incapable of managing their own benefit payments and do not have a family or friend fit to serve as their representative payee, Social Security will assign an organization to receive the funds on behalf of the beneficiary. In turn, our agency will use those funds to meet the individual's budgetary needs. 

Finance for People is contracted by Redwood Coast Regional Center, North Bay Regional Center and Central Valley Regional Center as a vendor to provide Representative Payee services at no cost to their clients.

Finance for People, Fee-For-Service is a separate entity that provides Representative Payee services for a standard monthly fee that is set by Social Security.

Finance for People is a licensed Veterans Affairs Fiduciary. In cases where a Veteran or VA beneficiary is unable to manage their finances, Veterans Affairs will appoint a fiduciary. Upon approval, the fiduciary will receive the VA payments on behalf of the beneficiary and will use the funds to meet the person's budgetary needs.  The VA administration establishes the fiduciary fee rate for providing these services. The most common rate is 4% of the monthly VA benefits.
